I read the most amazing book with hints on cool dates to do with your spouse. What really made me excited about reading the book, " The Little Book of Great Dates" by Greg Smalley is that I read it during the time that we were in the series Mr and Mrs Better Half at NorthRock  ( follow link if you are interested in hearing or watching the sermons from this or any series). During this series our pastor Jonathan spoke about how your relationship has be be intentional and this includes dating while married. The book gives ideas for every week/month general dates, or special dates like anniversaries, how to date with kids, or even dating when things are going on. Dating must be intentional and this book helps you be intentional.  **Tyndale House Publishers has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book for the purposes of reviewing it, these opinions are my own.****

There have been many season changed in 2013, I have chosen for this rocky season to be filled with God up front and fully instead of getting frustrated and taking it into my own hands and eventually giving it to Him. I think thats the way he likes it too! As part of that journey, I am seeking His face and trying to learn more by reading amazing theologian and christian womens books. The most recent read through I have done, and will start doing as a daily devotional on my birthday! is," The One Year Holy Land Moments Devotional," by Rabbi Yechiel Echstein and Dr. Tremper Longman III.  The subtitle piece explains why I REALLY wanted to get to review and read this book, " Inspiring Reflections on Scripture from a Jewish Rabbi and a Christian Theologian....

I am a planner- which i have learned coincides directly with a little bit of control freakness. When I saw the title ,"confessions of a raging perfectionist," I was intrigued and knew that I should read the book. Thanks to my friends at  Tyndale House Publishers I have been provided with a complimentary copy of this book. First off when I received the book, it bugged me ALOT that the book title was not capitalized. Writing the name of the book here without capital letters also bugs me but I am working on it. When you are interviewed for jobs you are asked " where will you be in 1 year ( 5 years or 10 years)?" and of course your answer morphs all the time, sometimes even day to day. A friend of my husbands reminded me that 2014 would be their 10 year high school reunion. It got me to thinking about ten years ago and since we were in the month of March, I just merely thought, " I was in eighth grade at William P Hobby Middle School." I then began to think of the things that happened in eighth grade. ____________________________________________________________________________      I loved wearing purple and gold, our school colors. I was an officer in the club Hobby Pride, along with being a student council board rep. I was in yearbook and newspaper along with being a tennis player. I was in Mr. Montgomery's ( Monty) US history class and Mrs. Correas English Class. I went to every football games because I was a tad boy crazy. I passed notes in class ALOT. ...

     I was standing in the kitchen about a week ago and my oldest nephew turned to me and said, " you cant eat that , hand it over." I sat there and said, " why can't I eat this?" I was referencing a small piece of dark chocolate I had taken out of my in-laws candy jar. He came back at me saying, " because you are vegan."  _________________________________________________________________________________      Since January 2013, my hubby and me have been making great strides to have a more vegan way of life. We have not eaten meat since November of 2011, and had been toying with the idea of going fully vegan.
