me time

Keep automatically typing in facebook into my browser bar. I do not need Facebook, and it is good that I am keeping off. I have tried to erase it so it wont come up in my browser but it has not worked. GRRRRR!!! I have de-FACED in hopes that I will keep more focus on writing and reading ( and technically this counts because my professors want us to write about us too). I can not wait for Thanksgiving "break" where I can read ONE good book between reading for class before the next week. I have felt freedom from this.

During Thanksgiving I am also going to be doing the Turkey Trot, for myself. Ultimate goal is still to do a half marathon. My new baby steps up include taking some weight off : ) which has been happening with my new volunteer position as assistant cheer coach for the coolest school.

In December, we are taking two days to go to anywhere but heresville to relax and detach from our computers. It can not be long due to jobs, but we are going to do some us time no matter what.

Who knows what God will bring us to, but only HE will bring us through....

LIFE: Camp

I have had an awful lot of un published blogs lately. These blogs come from deep routed feelings that have surfaced this year due to one thing or another. Summer after sixth grade,  I got in church vans and headed to Louisiana for the first time to attend Student Life Camp, then proceeded to go to Angelo State University and Glorieta New Mexico a few times. I spent time serving during spring breaks at Riverbend Retreat Center which lead to an internship over the summer. The week that "Curtis" and I first really got to know each other, we were at Glorieta for Centrifuge camp.  Camp is a special place for me. Camp is a happy place for me.  In 2018, I was able to experience camp through ...

first day of "summer"

On this the first day of Summer at work, I find myself reflecting on the past "year". The kiddos are twice the size they were last "year" and I am still working towards my same goals. - God's plan which may or may not include the things below this line - School - Weight Loss - Running - Reading I did do myself a favor last night, the last night of my break from school because summer school started today, and finished a really great book I think I started at Christmas. I was only ever able to read it in the car and we have not done many long trips this year. The book was "Unlikely Disciple " by Kevin Roose and I highly recommend it. It is about a non christian student from a secular school doing their study abroad at Liberty University. I am glad I chose to read this and not some girl falls in love book. I was completely satisfied with the choice. I think that God showed Curtis this book for me because I came from the same kind of household/family/back...
