Indianapolis Holiday Market

I am at it again ladies and gents! I attended the 2014 Holiday Market that the Junior League of Indianapolis hosted ( for those of you  keeping count last year I attended in San Antonio due to the fact that I lived in San Antonio). I wanted to share with you some of my favorite vendors in hopes that you will support this wonderful cause in attending their show through November 13-16.
Find out more about the Indy Junior League here!

Cozy Cabana
I have already chosen my Christmas present as pictured above(anchor bracelet!! but she also has monogram bracelets and other goodies too)- this is Cozy Cabana and she is as sweet as they get. Everything is customizable and created by her- she is adding new product too! She (and a few other vendors) have JLI Holiday Market specials for those who come and see her at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The below three vendors were in the Mistletoe area where there were smaller tables being run by the JLI staff and are all local vendors.
SEE Salt
How creative is colored sea salt? So many times I have a dish that is drab and can not find a way to "spice" it up without spicing it up, and colored sea salt will do the trick. It does not taste different but looks festive. The sweet lady selling the salt showed me the picture and story of her sweet grandma. Go meet her!!

I have seen some cool things done with crayons but this one was pretty neato- lego shaped crayons :) They also came in other shapes and sizes but these were my fave.

This was on the outer skirts of the Mistletoe area but stood out to me, sadly I did not grab a picture of the name of the group that made them but I love the quality of the leather and metal they combine to make inspirational bracelets

These two shirts basically define me :) So I knew I had to share them too!!!!

Others that stood out to me:
Paul and Lydia: baby bags and rags, head bands and scarves in some elegant spin off fabrics. they shared with me that their cat fabric can be customized with your animals name on it :)

Pink Eyed Sissies: They use antique optical lenses and upcycle them into beautiful bracelets and necklace charms

Creative Women of the World
Two Little Fish
Hearts for Africa
Were all three repping their mission by selling products made by and supporting women who may have been trapped or preventing being trapped in human trafficking.

The booth that had the most crazy going on at all times was Lysse Leggings / 14 Districts ( I mean I had to walk around for a little while before I could wiggle my way in). They are running a major discount/deal for those of you who visit them at the Holiday Mart.

I absolutely loved Mod Straps (camera straps/bags and additional accessories) who are also running a bulk rate :)

Last but not least I will share my buy/ steal ;)
Wonderful Lake 33 is running extreme deals on their zipper/ phone accessible wristlet! I bought a green one and will be seen using it as my gym carrying case for keys, cards and of course phone.

Go to the SHOW!! Get some of these wonderful snags and help the JLI raise money for their amazing tutoring, mentoring and preschool partnerships!!!

Live, Love, Shop!

LIFE: Camp

I have had an awful lot of un published blogs lately. These blogs come from deep routed feelings that have surfaced this year due to one thing or another. Maybe some day these blogs will be unearthed but for today, this blog needed to be written while it was still raw.  I have very vague memories of third or forth grade summer camp at Alto Frio, where I met Nana Pudding ( a christian puppet) and went pogging for the first time in a river. Summer after sixth grade,  I got in church vans and headed to Louisiana for the first time to attend Student Life Camp, then proceeded to go to Angelo State University and Glorieta New Mexico a few times. I spent time serving during spring breaks at Riverbend Retreat Center which lead to an internship over the summer. The week that "Curtis" and I first really got to know each other, we were at Glorieta for Centrifuge camp.  Camp is a special place for me. Camp is a happy place for me.  In 2018, I was able to experience camp through new eyes

LIFE: Processing the Unknown

In the 90's, television and books portrayed the family with 2.5 children and a house with a two car garage where dad worked outside of the home and mom had dinner ready in the evenings. The show would continue with grandma and grandpa popping in for a visit or a trip to their house.  My 90's family did not have this imagery- and that's okay. I grew up with divorced parents, and the parents I lived with full time both were from countries other than the US- meaning aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents all still lived in their respective native land. This meant that I did not necessarily have the same visitation schedule as families who all live in the same city, state, or country.  I know from pictures that the first time that my Nana ( my dads mom) Sheila, from England, came to visit was the spring after I was born. I have pictures of myself in a stroller with my Nana below the Tower of Americas. The next time I would get the opportunity to be with my grandmother was arou

REVIEW: You Can Do This by Tricia Lott Williford

Tricia and her book baby {necessary information} I received this book from the author as a part of the launch team for free. The opinions expressed in this blog are mine alone and not those of the author or publisher. {review: You Can Do This } Tricia is a clear and concise writer detailing some hurtful and raw points in her life. Through every chapter there is a reflection assignment to help you work through the tough spots in your life and find the confidence in Him to work through them. She sprinkles quotes from strong famous people, as well as strong Biblical truths. In chapter 5 she reminds you that the comment section does not have the right to get you down. On page 62, Tricias therapist reminds us that, " Everybody has a chapter of their life they don't read out loud." She introduced me to 6 word stories- which I am very excited to give a try. In chapter 9 she introduces us to her second love story. "No for now isn't no forever"!!!! Every cha
