I am at it again ladies and gents! I attended the 2014 Holiday Market that the Junior League of Indianapolis hosted ( for those of you  keeping count last year I attended in San Antonio due to t he fact that I lived in San Antonio). I wanted to share with you some of my favorite vendors in hopes that you will support this wonderful cause in attending their show through November 13-16.  Find out more about the Indy Junior League  here ! Cozy Cabana I have already chosen my Christmas present as pictured above(anchor bracelet!! but she also has monogram bracelets and other goodies too)- this is Cozy Cabana  and she is as sweet as they get. Everything is customizable and created by her- she is adding new product too! It is review time again :) I have become a part of the Smiley360 network and they graciously send me goodies to try and review for no pay at all. This time I tried some new flavors of Tazo Chai I tried the Chocolate and Vanilla Caramel Chai hot teas, and did not like them. Both had a fake additional flavor that did not sit well. I even cut down my brew time to see if it would help and it did not. As far as the plain Chai, it is an all time favorite but I do warn that if you do not like strong flavors to cut back you brew time, the longer this bag seeps the fuller and fuller the spice gets.

So..... a month later I am finally getting around the writing my blog about conference. So as I mentioned before, in May I started working with One Mission Society   as a receptionist and events helper. Today I am writing from Alaska, where I am getting a chance to hang out and help my mom with my niece for two weeks before I start a new journey with OMS. I do not completely know what the journey will entail but I will be working with development as well as continuing a few days a week at reception. But back to conference.... At conference I had the opportunity to learn more about our Dynamic Women ministry and due to a really cool game of scrabble I will get to go on a trip with them this year for $300 off the price of the trip ( three rounds of scrabble on a GIANT magnetic book). Another cool opportunity offered was to donate funds to build houses in Haiti. This year is the 60th birthday of Men for Missions and they brought in a few guests from Haiti to help celebrate....

a few weeks after John and I relocated to Indiana, we had a meeting with the youth ministry team and asked if there were any mission organization or projects in the area. Well a few names were thrown out, and one member said ," well hey there is OMS, but I don't know what they do." If you know me personally, you know I basically take not knowing things as a challenge to know about the topic. #GoogleQueen  I really just don't like not knowing especially when the world is at my finger tips :) So I Googled and I ogled at all the cool things I was reading on the OMS ( or One Mission Society) Website ( LiNK HERE ). I did a general, " hey can I get info" email to their general email and I spoke back and forth with the cool team in Mobilization who invited me to come and check out chapel service. I feel like last summer the word EPIC came from left field and was every other word out of the teenaged populations mouths but I think Kurt Bubna was on the right track when he used in in the title of his book , " Epic Grace".  I like that from the cover you can tell his voice and honesty by saying he is a "recovering idiot". This book has been through the ringer with me me, I received this book sometime at the end of January/ early February and if you know me, you know that was the start of an amazing journey!! We have moved to Indiana from Texas and started our new journey at our new church.  Well sometime on this journey my poor copy of the book became wet and is about four times the size that it was when i received it. I think the most important thing I have grasped from this book is that we need to remember that we all fall short sometimes, and have slap your head moments. As some of you may know, today is One Day Without Shoes Day .... but many of you may not know. This day is encouraged/sponsored/planned by Toms Shoes , the buy one give one organization, and for those of you who have not heard about this company take a look at a college campus or music festival and you will probably lay eyes on a pair or more. For those of you who have watched me grow up, the concept of NOT wearing shoes comes VERY naturally to me. I remember days when my husband and I were dating and my father would see me leave the house without shoes and say," child where are you shoes, get back in the house and get them," to which I would reply," don't worry dad I left some in Curtis' car."
